Service Overview

Cryopreserved sperm samples may be stored for a partner’s future treatment, preserved before medical therapy, or supplied through a sperm bank. Whatever the reason, the samples need stable cryogenic conditions and a clear chain of handover from one facility to the next.

CryoGene Global manages the full process: communicating with the sending and receiving facilities, coordinating documentation and customs requirements, planning the route, and assigning a dedicated courier who accompanies the dry shipper throughout the journey.

As with all reproductive material, rules for the import and export of sperm, and especially donor sperm, vary by jurisdiction. We assess every route individually so the shipment complies with the requirements of both countries.

How We Safeguard Every Shipment

Specialized equipment, continuous monitoring, and constant human oversight from collection to delivery.

YDH-3 Cryogenic Dry Shippers

Charged with liquid nitrogen absorbed into the shipper’s internal material, keeping samples in nitrogen vapor at approximately −196°C throughout the journey.

Continuous Data Logging

Every shipment carries a data logger connected to a smartphone application, continuously recording temperature and shipment conditions.

Dedicated Hand-Carry Courier

The dry shipper never travels unaccompanied. A dedicated courier keeps it under continuous supervision from collection to final handover.

Sperm Transportation FAQ

Can you transport donor sperm from a sperm bank?

Yes. We coordinate with the sperm bank and the recipient’s clinic to align documentation, timing, and handover, wherever the transfer is permitted by the laws of the origin and destination countries.

How is sperm kept frozen during transportation?

Samples travel in a YDH-3 cryogenic dry shipper charged with liquid nitrogen, maintaining them in nitrogen vapor at approximately −196°C. A data logger continuously records temperature and shipment conditions.

Do you handle customs clearance for sperm shipments?

Yes. Always. Customs requirements vary depending on the origin, destination, type of material, and local regulations. We identify them in advance and coordinate the necessary documentation and procedures.

Which countries can you transport sperm between?

We transport between countries worldwide, with no geographical limitations as long as the transportation is permitted by local laws and regulations. Each route is assessed individually.
