Request a QuotationService Overview
Cryopreserved embryos often represent years of treatment, significant emotional investment, and the hope of building a family. When embryos need to move between clinics, whether across a city or across continents, every detail of the journey matters.
CryoGene Global coordinates the complete transportation process. We communicate directly with both the sending and receiving clinics, align documentation and timing, plan the route, and assign a dedicated courier who personally accompanies the cryogenic dry shipper throughout the journey.
Because requirements governing the import, export, and transfer of embryos vary significantly between jurisdictions, each shipment is assessed individually. We identify these considerations before the journey is planned, not after the material is already in transit.

Embryo Transportation FAQ
How are embryos kept safe during international transportation?
Embryos travel in a YDH-3 cryogenic dry shipper charged with liquid nitrogen, which maintains them in nitrogen vapor at approximately −196°C. A data logger continuously records temperature and shipment conditions, and a dedicated courier keeps the shipper under continuous supervision from collection to handover.
Do you coordinate with both IVF clinics?
Yes. Always. We communicate directly with the sending and receiving clinics to coordinate requirements, documentation, timing, collection, delivery, and final handover, acting as a single point of coordination throughout the shipment.
Can embryos be transported for a surrogacy arrangement?
Yes, where the transfer is permitted by the laws of the origin and destination countries. Each route is assessed individually, and we coordinate the documentation required by the clinics and authorities involved.
How long does embryo transportation take?
Once an order is confirmed, transportation is arranged within a maximum of three weeks. The journey itself typically takes no more than one day. For exceptionally long routes it may take up to three days, although this is rare.
